Actuarial age

The age of the nearest birthday, whether or not it has been reached, so that anyone who has had a birthday within a period of less than six months has their actual age as their actuarial age, and anyone whose birthday was more than six months ago has their next age as their actuarial age. For risk pricing purposes, it is the age that is taken as a reference for underwriting a life insurance policy.
